How many photos?
Between three and nine. A grid of three, six or nine photos lays out nicely.
Two photos make the page look unfinished. Twenty photos make an endless page that takes a long time to load.
What to photograph
Your visitors want reassurance: « What will it be like when I get there? »
Photos that work well:
- your practice, including the waiting area;
- you, in your working clothes;
- your equipment, clean and tidy;
- the entrance to your building, with the doorbell — that saves a lot of phone calls on the day;
- your team, if there are several of you.
Writing a good caption
A caption is there to give useful context.

Do I also need to fill in the alt text?
Yes, and that is done elsewhere: in the media library, on each image's card. It matters for people with impaired vision and for Google. See Alt text and focal point.
The weight of images
A page with ten large photos takes longer to appear, especially on a phone on mobile data. We optimise your images automatically, but still avoid uploading twenty 8 MB photos.
You can see your available storage in the Overview section.
