If something goes wrong

Common problems

The most frequent sticking points, and how to fix them in a few clicks.

In this article

Here are the situations that come up most often, with their solutions. Look for yours in the list.

The three reflexes that fix half of all problems

Try these three things first. In this order.

  1. Did you click « Save »? That is the first cause of everything, without exception. The button is always at the top right.

  2. Refresh the page. F5 on a PC, Cmd + R on a Mac. Your browser sometimes keeps an old version in memory.

  3. Close the tab and sign in again. A session left open for a very long time can expire.

My changes do not appear on my site

Check in this order:

  1. Did you click « Save »? A green message should have confirmed.

  2. Is the page set to Published and not Draft? See Publishing and unpublishing.

  3. Did you refresh the public page in your browser?

  4. Is maintenance mode on? If so, your whole site is hidden. See Maintenance mode.

  5. Are you editing the right language? A change made on the German version does not appear on the English one.

I cannot sign in

See Signing in to your account and Forgotten password.

The three most common causes: Caps Lock is on, a space slipped in at the start of the e-mail address, or the address you are using is not the one on the account.

The « New page » button does nothing

The page limit of your plan has been reached. Look at the line under the title: it reads for instance Site pages: 4 / 4.

Delete a page you do not need, or change plan. See Subscription and plans.

The « Embedded content » block is greyed out with a padlock

That block is reserved for the Pro plan. See The Embedded content block for a simple alternative that works without it.

The appointment form does not appear on my site

Five checks, in order:

  1. Is the « Enable calendar » switch green? (Calendar → Calendar settings)

  2. Have you defined at least one appointment type?

  3. Have you defined at least one range of availability?

  4. Is the Appointments block on a page? A configured calendar does not appear by itself.

  5. Is that page published?

See Enabling the calendar.

No slot appears for my patients

  • Every day may be set to Closed in your availability.
  • The « Booking window (days) » field may be too small.
  • The duration of your appointment type, plus the break, may not fit inside your ranges.
  • The period concerned may be blocked.

See Your working hours.

I receive no message from the contact form

  1. Is the « Show contact form » box ticked in the Contact block?

  2. Is the page published?

  3. Do the test: fill in your own form and look in Messages.

See Messages received.

My image is blurry or badly cropped

  • Blurry: the original file is too small. Import a larger version — at least 1600 pixels wide for a background image.
  • Badly cropped: set the image's focal point. See Alt text and focal point.

I cannot import my video

The limit is 10 MB per video, which is very little. Go through YouTube and use the Embedded content block, or compress your video heavily.

You have probably uploaded a dark logo into the « Logo (light version) » field. The footer has a dark background: it needs a light or white version of the logo. See Name, logo and favicon.

My text is hard to read

That is a contrast problem. Choose a palette with a very light background and very dark text. See Colours and style.

A window says I have unsaved changes

That is a safeguard, not an error. You are leaving the editor with unsaved work.

  • « Save and continue » — keeps your work. That is almost always what you want.
  • « Continue without saving » — abandons your changes.
  • « Cancel » — you stay on the page.

A message says the preview window was blocked

Your browser blocked a new window from opening. Allow pop-up windows for nursee.ch in your browser settings, then try again. You can also simply use the « Preview » button, which stays in the same window.

I deleted something by mistake

It depends when:

  • You have not saved yet: leave the page without saving. Nothing will have changed.
  • You have saved: the content is lost and we cannot recover it. You will have to recreate it.
