The content blocks

The FAQ block

Answering the questions your patients always ask, as an unfolding list.

In this article

The FAQ block shows a list of questions. The visitor clicks a question and the answer unfolds just below it.

It is one of the most useful blocks on the whole site: it answers the questions your patients ask you on the phone, which saves you a great deal of time.

Filling in the block

  1. Open the page in the editor, then click the FAQ block.

  2. Title — for instance Frequently asked questions or You may be wondering….

  3. Subtitle — optional.

  4. In the « Questions » section, add your questions and answers.

  5. Click « Save ».

Adding a question

  1. Click « + Add ».

  2. A Question 1 block appears.

  3. Fill in:

    - Question — the question, phrased the way a patient would ask it.

    - Answer — your answer, in a few sentences.

  4. Repeat for each question.

To remove an entry, click « Remove » at the top right of its card.

How to find the right questions

Do not invent them: listen to yourself working. For one week, note down every question a patient asks you on the phone or in consultation. That is your FAQ.

The most common questions for independent health professionals in Switzerland:

  • Is my care covered by basic insurance?
  • Do I need a prescription from my doctor?
  • Which areas do you travel to?
  • How long does a session last?
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
  • Do you work at weekends?
  • How does the first visit work?
  • What are your rates?

Writing a good question

Phrase it the way your patient would, in the first person.

  • Is my care covered?
  • Terms of coverage under basic health insurance

The second phrasing may be more precise, but nobody recognises themselves in it.

Writing a good answer

Answer directly, in the first word. Then expand.

  • Yes, in most cases. Care prescribed by your doctor is covered by basic insurance. I am happy to help you check your situation before the first visit.
  • The question of coverage is complex and depends on many factors…

Three to five sentences at most. If an answer becomes very long, that is a sign it deserves its own page: put a short answer in the FAQ and a link to the detailed page.

How many questions?

Between five and ten. Below five, the section looks empty. Above ten, nobody reads to the bottom.

Put the most frequent ones first: that is where the eye lands.

The optional button

Like the other blocks, the FAQ accepts a button at the end of the section: fill in « Button text » and « Button link ». For instance Another question? Write to us, pointing to your contact page.

Can't find the answer?

Write to us and explain what you are trying to do. If you can, tell us which section you are stuck in — we reply by e-mail.
